Hi

We are a couple, booked here for 10 nights in May. I have booked a room on Bed %26amp; Breakfast rates, but the diffrence in price for room only is about 拢300 or 15,000 THB. So my question how good are the breakfasts to warrant this extra cost. I have to factor in that we do like the idea of just getting up and going down for breakfast rather than having to wander about somewhere looking for a suitable place but is there a good breakfast place nearby thus making us a considerable saving?

We stayed there some years ago, and i have to say the food was good, but I would not recommend B%26amp;B, like you we hate being told to go for a meal at a set time. There are plenty of places in Karon to eat, or even the odd beach shack to get something. Last year in patong you could get a breakfast for about 150TH per person (on the beach).

you can easily get English/American breakfasts as well as the Asian breakfasts at the many restaurants in the area.

Also the Karon Cafe near the circle in Karon is renowned for their Cowboy breakfasts. The Kata Villa in the opposite direction closer to Kata center also offers good food at excellent prices.

Hi Lookie,

I just got back from the Hilton about 3 weeks ago. The breakfast was not special although lots of choice but after 2 days we were fed up of eating the same food. Better eat out, its cheaper and plenty of variety within walking distance.

The Kata Villa is about 10 to 15 minutes walk and the Karon Cafe a little longer.

If the breakfast alone is costing 15,000 THB then I think that the price you are paying is bit on the high side.There are some good promotions out there for this hotel at the moment including abf.

At that price I would skip the breakfast but if you are not tied to your reservation then have a good look around the web-you might be suprised at what you find on deals including breakfast.
