Hi there
I am looking for a really quiet, peaceful place with beautiful quiet beaches and pristine waters. I would like there to be a small village to get some access to civilisation and a place has come up in Bang Po but I can%26#39;t really find much info on what its like. If it doesn%26#39;t fit the bill are there any other suggestions? I will travel anywhere in Thailand.
Thanks for your views...

Best place to visit.... is Bang Po one of them
Bang Po is on the North West corner of the Island. It is certainly quiet and peaceful in that it is not an area frequented by the majority of tourists. The beaches vary with the time of year and the tides.Very few places in the world have ';pristine'; waters these days but the sea in the area is generally pretty clear.
Villages, in an English sense,don%26#39;t really exist here due to the geography of the island. Most development is ribbon development stretched around the ring road. The Bang Po area has a few local restaurants and shops but if you want European style dining then you would have to travel to the area from Maenam around to Chaweng.

Thanks very much for the info, really helpful
Hi, we went to Koh Samui in February and stayed on Choeng Mon Beach. Hired a jeep and visited Bang Po found it to be gorgeous, quite, great beach and waters. We wished we had stayed here, disapponted with Choeng mon beach especially as it is recommended as one of the better beaches on the island.
