We have 7 nights in Bangkok and have narrowed (after surfing the internet for weeks) the four hotels above.
Does anyone have any comments or should I just throw a coin to choose!
Pulman, Park Plaza, Davis, Furamaxclusive Asoke - Which one
Out of the above 4 you mention I have only stayed at the Davis and I must say it is one of my favourites. It is situated very close to Rama IV Rd (not a lot in that immediate area to do or see)and about a leisurely 10 minute walk to Suk%26#39;vit Rd where it starts to get busy and you can access the Phram Phong BTS. Plenty of cabs available outside the hotel so transportation not an issue. I haven%26#39;t stayed there for a couple of years but from memory there is a large outdoor seafood restaurant close by along with a Starbucks outlet, a supermarket and a few other shops. Hope this helps.
Pulman, Park Plaza, Davis, Furamaxclusive Asoke - Which one
Pullman is located near the garment/shopping area of pratunam. About a 15min walk. It is about 5min walk to the nearest BTS station, Phayathai station, or a hotel shuttle up Soi Rangnam (lots of little bars and restaurants) to BTS Victory Monument.
Park Plaza ????
Davis - There are 2 Davis, basically one is a cheaper one the other more expensive. Same company and basically across from each other. Nice area with bistros etc. About 10-15min walk to BTS Phrom Pong on Sukumvit.
Furama @ Asoke - The smallest of the 4, a business hotel. Newest hotel of the 4, in a renovated office building on Asoke rd. About 10min walk to MRT or BTS.
If you want something nice (rooms, fascilities etc) Pullman or Davis. If you want something cheaper (but still look ok) Furama.
Oh Furama%26#39;s pools are wave pools. Small little tubs where you swim agains the current.
Sorry ment Park Plaza Sukhumvit.
Any advice appreciated
