A day in Pattaya

While I am aware of the motive behind going to Pattaya for a large number of single male Westerners, am curious to know the typical daily schedule that travellers like these are likely to have ?

From what i have surfed there are limited daytime outdoor things to do.

Keep surfing.

Get up - wash up, brush teeth, etc.

Check mail at cheap internet shop.

Eat

Walk for an hour or 2 before it gets too warm.

Shower - take care of normal stuff like getting laundry done or picked up. Changing money over. Miscellaneous shopping.

Meet up with friends in the late afternoon, have dinner. Late stroll along the beach when the sun goes down.

Late evening - bar hop, or pub crawl, tell lies, go to a movie, read, watch TV - whatever rings your bell in the evening. Most do, but not everyone drinks alcohol at a bar. Many people go and order soft drinks or water.

Not too much different than many people do at home. Lots of ';over 50 tourists'; visit Thailand, many of them are retirees or widows and widowers. What would these retiree age Farangs be doing back home - sitting on the porch in a rocking chair looking at the cars go by?? Duhhh!

There are lots of tours you can take, just like Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai just go to a local travel agency and check out their menu list of places to see.

For those who are into golf there are several good courses available. Many golf outings are sponsored by hotels or bars.

Any trip anywhere in the world is what you make it to be! So it is up to you! I do see more younger tourists always asking for info on ';Full Moon Parties'; and exotic beaches, para-sailing, jet skiing and older tourists asking for good places to eat at and where to shop and how to stretch the money out.

Different strokes for different folk!
