Hi everyone, my husband and I are looking at heading to Pattaya in September this year. We did a day visit last year and we loved the atmosphere, place etc etc.
We are looking at staying 6-7 nights and then heading off to Koh Samui. I have read lots of reviews on hotels on here and am very confused at which are the better ones to stay at.
What we are looking for is a large resort style swimming pool, medium price say from $60-$100 per night accomm, closish to the action, I enjoy a nice mix of nationalities but not over bearing of one nationality. I am not fused on large tower resorts. Any one who is able to give there feed back is greatly appreciated.
Where to Stay in Pattaya - So confused
The Mercure Pattaya ticks all your boxes. Google them and hunt down a deal (around AU$50).
Where to Stay in Pattaya - So confused
Thanks for that. Sorry forgot to mention hotel has to have a swim up bar also. Cheers
HAS TO have a swim up bar? Double your budget, and stay at the Hard Rock Hotel or Dusit Thani.
Marriott is slap bang i the middle of everything - very swish -
Birds and Bees - (formerly Cabbages and Condoms) is very nice with beach pool etc etc - but a little out of the thick of it - beautiful tropical gardens and great restaurant. - google it!
Some other though can%26#39;t help on whether there is a swim up bar, but close to the center along the main beach raod, the A-One Royal Cruise Hotel ( looks like a line ! )
There are pool lvele rooms at Tropicana, possibly a bit worn, have not been for years, but cheap.
The Montien Hotel is an old favorite, been around years, again can%26#39;t recall if swim-up pool bar or not.
Siam Bayview another one to think about.
At the far south end of Pattaya the Siam Bayshore is very nice with nice pools. maybe swim up at one of them. been around 20 years plus and very nice place to stay though i think will be over your budget.
You also have those North Pattaya / Naklua and then you have those in the Jomtien area.
Hotels with swim up bar :
- 4-5 stars
Marriott, Hard Rock, Tim boutique, Mantra Pura
3 stars
Asia, Jomtien
Flipper House, soi 7
Sunshine Vista soi3
Leelewadee lagoon, central Pattaya
Loma, Wong Amat
White House, Jomtien
Any of these nice hotels have rules about bringing women back with you to the hotel?
Mostly the Hard Rock by the way.
Hi Iopener, have a look at the Amari Nova Platinum hotel also. I think they have a swim-up bar, they definitely have a great, large pool. It should be around $50 a night in September. The rooms are small for the price but very comfortable.
Hx, I imagine you%26#39;d get a few rude stares and a 500-1000 joiners fee if you brought a girl back to the Hard Rock Hotel. In my opinion, it%26#39;s over-priced anyway for what you get. The pool is great, but they let non-guests use the pool for 50-100 baht a day.
Thanks for the info TheWayUp.
Do you know of a similar list to the one bellow for Pattaya?
