koi samui weather!!

I am going for a holiday in koi samui 1st week of august....can anyone tell me what the weather will be like....the forecasts predict rain, no sunshine :( any suggestions for where to stay in chaweng beach....looking for somewhere nice!

Last year we visited in late July and the weather was wonderful...no rain and about 32 degrees each day...we were very fortunate. We have stayed at the Amari Resort ( large hotel, about 4 stars I think) and the Baan Samui (smaller hotel on Chaweng) both very nice. I preferred the Baan Samui coz it was smaller and cheaper too.

Nobody can give a precise forecast about the weather in Samui. Not even on a day to day basis - 14 and more days ahead - forget it.

Today I went from Lamai to Nathon (25 km), on the way it was raining heavily for the usual short time - Lamai stayed dry.

Samui is a round the year destination with temperatures not dropping below 22 degrees C. The only month which is not too recommendable is in general November.

Me and my friends are booking this year 2009. Which month is best, september or november?? ive had conflicting reports. one site says sept is worst month with lots of rain, the other says nov!! PLEASE HELP

Last two years been to Samui mid Sept.and had lots of sunshine,occasional downpour in the evening but it did not last long ,then it just gets hot again,hope this helps.We are off in May this year,cant wait.
