Hi looking to rent a 2 bedroom house on the island, have a 3 year old so access to a swimming pool would be great. Where are the best places on the island. Is there any schools / kindergartens I could put my daughter into.

Budget is up to 20000 per month.

Couple of ideas for you . . .

There are some small, new 2 bed houses in Kai Bae. Take the turning opposite Coral Resort and go 200 metres. Koh Chang Residence. Can get one for around 15,000 baht/month furnished includes free cable TV and wifi. Quiet spot a few minutes walk to shops etc. Also some in Klong Son, new houses, Thai style - meaning shiny mismatched tiles everywhere, but have 2 bedrooms and are furnished and 10 mins walk to the local school. Also 15,000 baht/month

Lots of one bedroom places but not easy to find 2 bed homes. Very few of those around.

There are several schools on KC - on the west coast in Bangbao, Klong Prao and Klong Son. But they are more for keeping kids off the streets than educating them. Dont expect your child to learn much if they go to a school on Koh Chang. The locals will always send their kids to the mainland if possible, even though it%26#39;s a very long day for the kids.

I%26#39;d have thought some of the expats with kids would have managed to organise a home school or western style kindergarten or something similar, but no one has for some reason. Despite the demand being there.
