Accomodation in Si Satchnalai & travel to Lampang

Does anybody have suggestions for budget accomodations in Si Satchanalai? And does it work to bus directly from there to Lampang, or do I need to go back through Sukothai? Thanks for your help!

I would base yourself in Sukhotai and visit Si Satchanalai (50 km away). do you realise that sukhotai has it%26#39;s own historical site much more impressive than Si Satchalai, although Si is still worth a look.

A good place to stay in Sukhotai is the Tharaburi resort. it%26#39;s right on the doorstep of Sukhotail Historical Park.

as for the bus to lampang, catch the bus for chiang mai in sukhotai and get off at lampang.

Yep, I certainly realize ';do you realise that sukhotai has it%26#39;s own historical site much more impressive than Si Satchalai...'; but a travel buddy loved Si S. even more.

By the way, if anybody wants a wonderful accomodation in Nong Khai with MANY less mosquitoes than the Mut Mee, try the new E-San Guesthouse on the other side of the market from the Mut Mee(strange spelling for Issan, but that%26#39;s how they spell it). So clean and friendly. Fan and a/c options.

i%26#39;ve stayed at mutmee too but can%26#39;t recall any mozzie problems. i%26#39;m heading that way again soon, going to Laos for another trek. i%26#39;ll check out the E-San guesthouse while i%26#39;m there.

Has anyone tried to get a refund out of the Tharaburi resort? We would have been staying in April this year, but due to unforeseen circumstances had to cancel. I have been fobbed off with, ';don%26#39;t worry, your money is coming';. But most of the time I am ignored when I try to contact them - no emails, can%26#39;t get through on the %26#39;phone, just silence. Is anyone else having this problem? I%26#39;ve been trying to get my money back for a month now.

I am glad that we%26#39;re not staying here, if this is what the customer service is like before I stay, I dread to think what it would be like when we%26#39;re actually there.
