Day trips from Pattaya

I was disappointed in the waterpark.. certainly not up to Waterbom%26#39;s standards ( Bali) nor any of the Gold coasts parks.. the toilets were dirty, and I wouldnt go back.

Day trips from Pattaya

Waterpark is over 20 years old and get only soft renovation since, restaurant is only basic. Islands trip is a nice excursion. Just get on the new pier and take a boat, about 50 minutes one way for about 20 abhts. You can also take a speed boat, about 15 minutes for about 2000-3000 bahts round trip. Mini siam, Nong Nooch village and sanctuary of truth are also interesting.

Here is a link that you can check out. I liked the Nong Nooch Garden tour.

You can take a cheap 20 baht ferry ride to Koh larn Island. Get the ferry ticket at the Bali Hai Pier main building. Pay 20 baht only, touts outside the building offer the same ferry tickets for 100 baht!

Here is a video that makes things look too good!

Local travel agencies will have a list of tours that you can take from Pattaya. Stop in and check out their menu selection.

Good luck.

Day trips to the islands - Koh Laan, koh Pai etc.

You might find some sailing/motor boat trips at the Marina or yacht club.

down the coast towards Rayong, are some nicer beaches around Bang Sare, Sattahip etc.

North of pattaya is Sri Racha - loads of restaurants - Thai/ Japanese/ Korean. Koh Loy is a small island with temples joined by causeway - good place for seafood snacks picnics and meals. From koh Loy there is a ferry service to Koh Sichang - about 5 mile of the coast with a few beaches and small resorts - a palace and temples.

Next up north is Bang Saen, a resort town for week-enders from Bkk - lots of seafood and maybe a visit to Kao Samuk - monkey mountain - horrible place - full of monkeys.

Ang Sila along the coast has loads of Seafood stalls - with raw oysters.

Nong Mon market in front of Bang Saen is well-known for it%26#39;s dries fish products and Thai deserts - ';maw geng'; and kind of custardy tart.

DON';T visit the Tiger Zoo - it is appalling1

Kao Keaw Zoo is quite pleasant - you can drive round it too - nice gardens

PS - Sri Racha has a Robinson%26#39;s department store and a Tuk.Com computer complex.
