Restaurant Seafood/Thai Suggestions

We will be in Bangkok for 3 nights early April and would like any suggestions on nice/clean restaurants. Will be staying at the Pathumwan Princess.

Restaurant Seafood/Thai Suggestions

Try The Blue Elephant restaurant on Sathorn Road. You can get there on Skytrain. It is in a historical restored colonial building. The food was great and I%26#39;m sure they have lots of seafood selections.

Restaurant Seafood/Thai Suggestions

You might try Amarin Foodhouse, located at the CHITLOM skytrain platform. Thai/chinese in a Western atmosphere.

Yok Yor Marina and Restaurant would be nice. Take the skytrain to ';SAHAN TAKSIN, then either tuk tuk to River City, or the River City shuttle ferry to River City. From River City, Yok Yok provides a ferry, from 5:30 PM.

If you brave up, and wish to try something more ';local';, take the skytrain to CHONG NONSI. Beneath the platform you will find Lek Seafood. Try it for dinner. They do great seafood at great prices. Never heard of anyone coming away ill!

If you like dim sum, on MBK Center%26#39;s 3rd floor, you%26#39;ll find Hong Min, towards the skytrain end of the center.

Secret Garden in Sathorn, right opposite Convent Road

Once Upon A Time in Petchaburi Road Soi 17

Banana on 6th floor of Central World, and basement of Silom Complex, Silom Road

See Fah - many branches including 6th floor Central World; and Soi Thaniya near the Saladaeng Skytrain station.

You might try Somboon seafood restaurant. It%26#39;s famous for fried curry crab. I%26#39;ve eaten here since I was a kid. It used to be the favorite restaurant for my family. The food style is combination of Thai- Chinese cuisine. Now soomboon has more branches. Personally I really like Deep fried sea bass with sweet fish sauce and stir fried prawns with garlic and chili. I think Somboon seafood at sam yan branch in Chamchuri Square Building is the newest and near by to your hotel. Proably 50 THB for taxi to reach there.

Or Bantadthong branch in Soi Chula 8 also nearby your hotel but it%26#39;s too complicate to get there i think.

You can check out on the menu and location at this link

bon appetit

:)

At Somboon, I have found the curry crab and the stir fried morning glory to be the only consistent dishes. Although still worth a visit for these, we have given the rest of the menu a pass.

If you head up to the 7th floor of MBK Center, where the cinemas are located, you%26#39;ll find all sorts of modern, ';clean'; eateries.

If you want to choose your food and select the prawns and fish then go to Seafood market in Sukhmvit Soi 24

7TH floor of MBK?? i thought the recommended food court was on the 6th floor?!! confused!!

Yes, the famous food court is the 6th floor.

But, on the 7th floor, there are ';nice/clean'; restaurants, possibly more comfortable for the original poster

princesssharon, that sounds great, how%26#39;s the pricing like?
