Departure tax - how much ?

Can anyone tell me how much is the depature tax ? Ot is there a waiver of this tax which I read about sometime ago ?

We are visiting second week of March. Need to know so we allow enough cash for it, if it still applies.

Departure tax - how much ?

Departure tax has been included in airline ticket prices for some time now.

Departure tax - how much ?

It is included in the cost of your ticket.

The tax is 700 baht if you fly out.

As above, it%26#39;s already calculated into the ';taxes'; of your ticket price.

Really ? We are flying AirAsia. I%26#39;ll check my ticket price, thanks guys.

We are flying from Singapore to Phuket and back does this mean we do not have to pay extra. We are flying with Tiger Airways. This time last year we did have to pay separately.

Correct, There%26#39;s NO MORE handing over 700 baht and getting the little tax ticket before you%26#39;re allowed to pass through immigration and customs... it%26#39;s included in ALL international air ticket taxes.

I have checked. There is an item of airport tax of RM 86.00 about THB 860. So the departure tax must have been in it alright. Thanks again.

Wait a minute, that is for two persons, meaning THB430 per pax ?? That is not right. Well I guess we will find out soon - we are leaving for Krabi this weekend.

ctmew, don%26#39;t forget to update on the tax matter as i%26#39;m leaving in May 2009.

We have returned from Krabi. Need pay no departure tax alright. My friends say there has been a waiver of depature tax for Thailand valid for a year, in order to encourage the return of tourist back to Thailand after the airport closure last December.
