What to do with 2 little boys for 1 day in BKK ?

We%26#39;ve been to Bangkok before (before kids) so we son%26#39;t really want to see anything as have been there - done that - you know.

We are arriving into Bangkok on a Sunday 3pm and staying for 2 nights at The Ivory near the airport. Which will give us a free day on Monday before we fly to Samui on Tuesday morning.

We are only staying 2 nights instead of one because I didn%26#39;t want to rush the kids onto another flight the next day and just wanted to get them used to their new and strange country!

Is there a good zoo or some kind of boat trip along the river we would take them on for a few hours?

Or I suppose we could go to the Grand Palace for a stroll ?

(Kids ages: 2 %26amp; 4).

You could take them to DreamWorld or Safari World. Google both of these places to find more info.

We%26#39;ve been a few times with our 2 year old and 5 year old.

Or if you don%26#39;t want to do a full day, just about every shopping centre has a play pen area suitable for your kids ages and they charge 30 baht for 30 min. We used these quite a few times.

hello deedeeLeicester,

what about Siam Ocean World? http://www.siamoceanworld.co.th/

It is at the Siam Paragon mall, Siam BTS station.

They are definitely too young to dive with the sharks but have a ride on a glass bottom boat, it%26#39;s fun!

I think it%26#39;s worth the visit.

There is the Dusit Zoo but you will have to take a taxi. I didn%26#39;t found the zoo amazing...just a zoo.

Can%26#39;t advise you about Crocodile farm or Snakes farm as I never visited them.

Wow the siam ocean world looks fab!! Definately will do this. Do they have a glass bottom boat ride in there ? I can%26#39;t find this info on their website.

We can always go to the zoo in Samui.

Thnaks guys for the quick replies !!

hi

last year we went to both safari world and siam oceanworld with or three year old boy. i can recommend them both for good family days out, the aquarium was fantastic. do have a go of the glass bottom boat the kids love it.

this year april, we have just booked dreamworld for a day trip. should be a blast with a 4 %26amp; 1 year old.(new addition)

just not looking forward to the flight this year as the baby cannot sit still, but it%26#39;s all worth while when you get there.

This is the page for the glass bottom boat: siamoceanworld.co.th/otheract/glassboat.htm

I made a video while on the boat: www.tripadvisor.com/members-videos/huow

Steve: I%26#39;m not looking forward to my flight either with our fidgity 2 yr old !

We took our two boys to the Maldives last year which was our littl-uns first ever holiday and the 11 hr flight turned out ok, the outbound flight was a night flight and after about 30 mins both were fast asleep for the whole flight ! We were very lucky that the plane was half full so we made up beds for them across the 4 seats ! I don%26#39;t think we%26#39;ll be as lucky this time round with our Eva Air flights. The journey home was a bit more stressful - as it involved a daytime flight and had to keep them amused. And feeding him was a pain as he wouldn%26#39;t sit still and ended up not eating more than a few bites of bread. My little-un was only 14 mths old at the time and just wanted to walk up and down the aisle (much so some miserable peoples annoyance. I%26#39;m hoping there won%26#39;t be miserable - kid hating passengers on our thai flight!

Depending on who your%26#39;e flying with they may do baby travel cots which will gives your arms a rest.

Let me know how you get on.

Just had a look at Dream World, terrorist shooting show looks . . . urm. . . interesting !!

Depending on the weather, if its not raining we%26#39;ll go to dreamworld and if raining to ocean world, then a shopping mall.

Sorted !
