Does anyone know of a good hotel near suvarnabhumi airport? we fly in at 11:15pm and out again at 10am so i don%26#39;t really fancy a long taxi ride into town at that hour.

Accommodation near the airport

Sananwan Palace: http://bangpli.com/sananwan.htm Very clean and friendly guesthouse about 20 min by taxi from the terminal, with nice big pool, A/C room for 600 Baht, in the very interesting old village of Bangphli. My personal favourite. Many people return again and again. The hotel will do an airport pickup for 500 baht. Taxi costs about 200 baht.

Royal Paradise Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport: http://www.royalparadisebangkok.com/index.htm is the latest one to crop up. It says it%26#39;s two km from the airport and offers basic rooms for 990 baht not including breakfast. Airport transfer costs 200 baht each way.

Silver Gold Garden: http://www.silvergoldgarden.com/photos.htm off Lat Krabang only 3 km from the airport. Brand new, rooms start at 950, no pool, free airport transfer.

Tong Ta Resort %26amp; Spa: http://www.siamairportmotel.com/index.html,

A brand new listing on Lat Krabang, seemingly a brand new hotel with free wifi, sauna, only 5-10 minutes from the airport. Rooms start at 850 baht. 150 baht each way for the airport transfer.

Convenient Resort: asiatravel.com/thailand/鈥ndex.html. Newly-built 4-story hotel at Lat Krabang, about 5-10 min. drive from the airport. 1000-1200 baht.

SP Powerlodge: http://www.sppowerlodge.com. New entry on Lat Krabang. Basic rooms, no pool. Price of 1300-1900 includes 2-way airport transfer.

Floral Shire Resort: sawadee.com/hotel/鈥ictures.html is just on the edge of the airport, maybe 5 minutes from the terminal. 1200-1300 baht. Brand new. No pool. Motel style.

Queen%26#39;s Garden Resort: http://www.queensgardenresort.net/ only 5 min. from the airport. New, quite popular.

Grand Inn Come Hotel: r24.org/thailand1x1.com/鈥?/a> kind of a typical Thai small-town hotel, no pool, 20 min. from airport, 1800 baht ';Let out professional masseuses treat and pamper your stiff and stressed.';

Avana Hotel: http://www.avanahotel.com/index.php, sort of the kind of suburban upscale hotel where Thais hold weddings and conferences. Pool and all the usual amenities, 1200 baht. Maybe about 25-30 min. from the airport.

Ibis Hotel Huamak: ibishotel.com/ibis/鈥iche_hotel.shtml Chain hotel about 20 min from the airport. Pool, 800-1200 baht.

Rachana Place: http://www.ratchanaplace.com/, a hostel off the Bangna-Trat highway AWAY from the city centre, self-described 25 min. from the airport, 350 baht. Free WifFi.

On Nut Guesthouse: hostelworld.com/hosteldetails.php/鈥?/a> backpacker hostel about 35-40 min. from the airport and within walking distance of the end station of the Skytrain/BTS line.

Nasa Vegas Hotel: http://www.nasavegashotel.com/index.html, often recommended. Said to be 15-25 min. from the airport. From 590 baht. 900 baht rooms come with a so-called jacuzzi. No pool.

There are quite a few hotels near Bangkok Airport and some with free transfers, Queen%26#39;s Garden resort offers a one way free transfer, others offer a 2 way free transfer, plenty near the airport now in the B 750-1,200 range unless you want something more expensive.

Queen%26#39;s garden Resort is about B 750 for 1 or B 850 for 2 including tax and service, doesn%26#39;t include breakfast, collection from airport is free but return costs about B 150.

Narawat is B 850 single B 950 for 2 with free transfers both ways, includes breakfast also.

Floral Shire B 875 single, B 1,000 for 2, includes round-trip transfers and breakfast.

There are others also

For many on early flights breakfast isn%26#39;t important as you need to be at the airport early, for others it%26#39;s a plus even if just getting a quick coffee to wake-up and a bit of toast
