Malaysia Airlines KL to Phuket only 5myr plus taxes

G%26#39;day Everyone,

Malaysia Airlines has airfares KL to Phuket for only 5 myr plus taxes return which is about 421.00 myr in total , approx 163.00Aud which to me is a bargin.

Also cheaper than Air Asia for the same flight once you add in the extras.

And Melb to KL return for around $762.00 Aud which is not bad .

So you could fly Melb to Phuket with full service for under $1,000.00 Aud.

Mind you these fares are no cancel / no change but if your going , your going lol.

Cheers

Lozza

Malaysia Airlines KL to Phuket only 5myr plus taxes

Hi Lozza,

We got flights in November 08 with Air Asia from KL to Phuket for $0.00 all we had to pays was the Taxes and that worked out to around $200.00 Aussie return for the 4 of us. Also Brissy to KL with Royal Brunei Airlines for $700.00 return.

Its good to see there are still cheap airfares around.

When do you go Lozza?

Cheers, Pete.

G%26#39;day Pete,

We leave Melb at 00.15 am on the 8th May so not long now.

Yes Air Asia has very low fares but when I was looking last year there was only a $40.00 Aud difference between Air Asia and Malaysia therefore as I had 3 people in our group who have never been overseas before I opted for Malaysia.

Cheers

Really, not that cheap for the total flight Melbourne to Phuket. We paid $850 return each, total for Mel -%26gt; KL -%26gt; HKT and back again. And we paid the stinking fuel levy, which has since been removed (no refund, even though we haven%26#39;t flown yet). That includes nearly all extras including meals and 25kg baggage allowance, and picking our seats to and from KL. Have seen cheaper since we booked, of course, especially with the fuel levy gone.

Maybe best to go Asia Airlines to KL, then Malaysia to HKT, but involves the hassle swapping airports.

G%26#39;day Wildo,

True its not that cheap compared toflying a low cost carrier, But I wanted to book reasonably early as the dollar was dropping and fares were rising.

At the time I was looking there was only a difference of $40.00 Aud between the Air Asia and Malaysia fare .

I booked the Malaysia fare as 3 of our group have never flown oversea%26#39;s before and I felt they would enjoy the extra%26#39;s like the back of the seat tv%26#39;s etc, also the fact once we check our luggage in Melb we wont have to bother with it till phuket.

Unlike Air Asia which is a point to point carrier , have used Air Asia before for short haul flights whilst in Asia and find them okay.

Guess in the end its up to ones likes and dislikes, the main point of the post was to let people know of Malaysia%26#39;s Kl to Phuket fare was cheaper than Air Asia%26#39;s.

And true you could fly Air Asia to KL then Malaysia to Phuket and as you say yould would have to change airports, I know which Airport I prefer to wait in ...just my opinion .

Oh btw the cheapest fare I could find for my travel dates other than low cost carriers was $1,346.00 Aud ,so I saved by booking the fare I did .

Cheers

Lozza
