snorkeling in may; june

Hi people.

Will be there at phuket on end may to june

I know that the water around phuket gets choppy in May and June. But my friends and i really wanna do snorkeling.

What do you guys think?

Snorkeling is no problem, you just have to go a bit further out.

Best place that time of year: Racha Yai.

Yes, Racha Yai is a great spot for snorkelling and this can be arranged by any of the many Dive Centers on Phuket. The daytrips costs around 1800 baht inc snorkelling equipment, lunch and refreshments and transfers to and from the Kata, Karon and Patong areas. Collection is around 8:00am and return around 4:00pm.

Otherwise the seas off the west coast of Phuket are not suitable for snorkelling between May - October. However if you are lucky there might be a day or 2 when the seas are calm.

I will inform you that on that month is not good for snokling it%26#39;s so dangour because it%26#39;s rainning season and the sea is not clear.

Snorkeling in May/June is perfectly safe at Racha Yai. Even stronger, the snorkeling there is from May till October a lot nicer than from November through April, because the East side of the island is the protected side during these months, and that is where the best snorkeling is.

You are very badly misinformed. We have been snorkelling and scuba diving there for years and in actual fact many days it is far nicer than during our high season months due to the less amount of people and surface boat traffic at these sites. Also Koh Racha Yai is renowned for great visibility all year round!

Pity that simba and phuketsail dont offer snorkeling to that area. Was hoping to join their snorkeling tour.
