Two top bands to play in Loma Park April 10th

Both Carabao and Job2Do are playing on Friday April 10th at the Music festival in Loma Park during Phuket Bike Week.

Carabao is the most popular Thai rock group of all time. The group was formed in 1976 by university students Yuenyong Opakul (Aed) and Kirati Promsaka Na Sakon Nakhon (Khiao) who met while studying in the Philippines. The word carabao is Tagalog meaning ';buffalo';, a symbol of fighting, hard working and patience. They are known for their %26#39;phleng pheua chiiwit%26#39; or %26#39;songs for life%26#39;. This kind of music came to prominence through the protest songs of the 1970s political upheaval in Thailand. Carabao have blended the acoustic/folk style of %26#39;peua chiwit%26#39; with other forms of Thai music, western rock and country music, and various kinds of world music like Latin music and reggae, earning such labels as %26#39;ethnic rockers%26#39; and %26#39;Kings of 3Cha%26#39; or %26#39;Rolling Stones of Asia.

Job2Do (Job Bunjob) is the number one Thai Reggae Band and has made reggae music very popular in Thailand.
