hi there! i heard the new dusitd2 design hotel is just open in pattaya... did anyboby already stay there? from the the web site looks great. thank you for your comments. alvaro

I actually have just got back from the hotel which I stayed at during the new years. Once again the dusit group of hotels have done a fantastic job at this property. Eventhough its not officially open, all facilities seem to be up and running with the same kind of energetic staff they have in chaing mai. I had what they call a ';bubbling breakfast'; where they actually serve free flow champagne during breakfast!!

they have also got a bar called ';deep bar'; (ironic because its actually on the 2nd or 3rd floor) with facinating decor %26amp; played smooth tunes all night long. I must say prices were also really reasonable with a beer at only around 3 dollars (100 baht?)so you can guess I had a really good time. The other advantage is the crowd you meet there are not the ';typical'; pattaya tourist looking for you know what but rather those looking for the cleaner pattaya.

Anyhow,, I hope this helps and ill definetly be back there again!

I went there last weekend. The hotel location is very convenient if you want to walk around shopping centers. It is located right next to the community mall but no sea view. Hotel decoration is impressively chic. Hotel staff is nice but not so efficient. I have to call 3 times to have a room service, possibly it was during the peak check in time.

I like their cool hotel lougue. Homey style with modern look.

However, the swimming pool looks good be noisy from the air-con compressors of the community mall, adjacent to the swimming pool.

Its Deep Bar is so strange. Perfect for a private party but not for couple. Its top floor bar is noisy from the lively Pattaya road at night.

Hotel room is impressively chic and cozy.

You can find better hotel with such a room rate but you should try this hotel once.

Overall, once is enough for my family trip here, but may come back later for a business trip.
