There isnt much close to Amari at the beach reasonably priced besides Magic Resort and Chok Dee. Check it out, just a couple minutes towards south.

You could make it to Kai Bae, about 20 minutes walk where you have a great choice of beach side restaurants especially after the second 7/11, where you make your way to the right down to the beach. There is also a bar attached at Nang Nual.

For a bar at the beach the next is Barracuda to the north but you have to cross a river estuary which I would not want to do after dark. To sit there at sunset is just great.

It%26#39;s about 20 minutes from the Amari.

Pilot Bar, on the beach, about 200 metres north of Amari is worth trying for dinner. If you go another couple of hundred metres you get to the small estuary . Dont worry about crossing it as there is a raft and you just hop on and pull yourself across. From here you can then go to Blue Lagoon bungalows which has a good restaurant by the water. Or walk through Blue Lagoon onto he main road - 5 mins walk away. Turn left, goanother 100 metres, and you%26#39;ll see Kati Culinary, probably the best Thai food on the island (in my not so humble opinion.) Opposite is Sailom restaurant, which is also good. But several other small places to eat %26amp; drink in this area.
