why bother

If this is like other forums (inc. non travel forums) that I post in, no post gets removed until someone complains. Once someone flags the post as breaking the guidelines, one of two things happens:

1-They delete the post without anyone looking at it. This is an automatic computer function that scans the post for inappropriate words etc. Or it%26#39;s deleted by default if more than a set number of people flag it as inappropriate.

2- They do look at it and find it doesn%26#39;t meet the guidelines - very easy to break a rule on any forum. Read the guidelines for TA, doesn%26#39;t take much. Biggest one is this

';TripAdvisor forums are for travel-related discussions. They are not chat rooms.';

Not hard to class something as ';chat';.

Like this post, for instance.

why bother

The OP of the thread was engaged in a conversation with a Troll whereby the troll started harassing the OP and me to an extent.

I reported most of the posts by said Troll and possibly TA figured the thread itself have gone off the tracks.

Tripadvisor forums are very outdated and should be more in tune with ';modern'; forums where the moderators can lock threads and ';clean up'; threads.

Oh well, read the box to the right of typing a reply. ';We reserve the right to remove any post for any reason';.
